Okay, so I made a few baskets. The round one is 18 cm (7 inches) high and 33 cm (13 inches) in circumf. It´s made out of ragrug material. And it is my own dye....the material was kind of difficult to fit into my 10 L kettle...believe me it was heavy to stir too....the color is a little uneven because of that but I don´t really mind.

The rectangular one measures aprox. 19 cm (7,5 inches) high and 30 cm (12 inches) on the short side and 42 cm (16,5 inches) on the longer side. I actually dyed these separately and they came out quite similar to each other.

I found an old warp in my stash. I bought the warp last summer when our school tried to get rid of old material. I never made plans to use it as it was because of the colors. I like the colors separately so I unwinded the warp....what to do with 1200 grams of flax or linen? Baskets of course!

Tein muutaman korin. Pyöreä on noin 33 cm halk. ja 18 cm korkea. Suorakaiteen muotoinen on 19 cm kork. ja sivut ovat 42 x 30 cm. Värjäsin matonkuteet itse 10 L kattilassa....hieman vaikeaa oli täytyy myöntää...varsinkin sekoittaminen. Väri on epätasainen mutta se ei mielestäni haittaa. Kummankin korin materiaalit on värjätty erikseen mutta silti värit on lähestulkoon samansävyiset.

Löysin vanhan loimen lankavarastostani. Olen hankkinut sen viime kesänä kun kouluni halusi päästä eroon ylimääräisistä loimista. En koskaan aikonutkaan käyttää sitä semmoisenaan johtuen väreistä. Purin siis koko komeuden...mitä tehdä 1200 grammalla pellavaa? Koreja tietysti!

Tabletweaving with linen as material is not easy...the threads get furry and the finished band doesn´t look nice. Maybe cotton will look more professional....

Wool as material though is easier to work with.

This is something I´ve had in my stash for many years.....cotton, a lot of it....

I finally found a nice pattern for a crocheted basket....the one I´m using is Kauhavan Kangasaitta´s pattern in finnish for baskets in Lilli-ontelokude. (sorry....I couldn´t find a translation on that word - ontelo - in my vocabulary).

Lautanauhan tekoa pellavasta ei ehkä ole paras valinta.....siitä tulee karvaista ja lopputulos näyttää epäsiistiltä. Ehkä puuvillaa on parempi vaihtoehto. Villaa sen sijaan on helpompi käsitellä.

Mattokudetta mulla on ollut varastossani pitkään ja sitä on paljon. Löysin vihdoin viimein hyvän koriohjeen. Kauhavan Kangasaitta on julkaissut sen virkattuna Lilli-ontelokuteesta. Maakari Oulussa välittää sekä ohjetta että tätä ontelokudetta.

My latest finished project. Towels in linen....satin weav....red, white and beige.

Kitchen towels - the red ones are my own and the beige and white goes to our shop at school "Tuuma & Tikki".

I started a new project at home - a rya rug (knotted pile rug).

I have so much yarn in my stash it will be a pleasure to get rid of it. Most of the yarns are wool and mohair. Some of them dyed last year and the year before.

I started sketching from an idea I had. Let´s see if I can make something useful.... maybe a rya for the wall or a cushion.
